We are on the princess majestic to Alaska the worst cruise I’ve ever been on super crowded ship enormous size. The food is average. The service is terrible. The destinations are tourist traps never princess again.

My favorite is the juevos rancheros (and one arepa) like your wife got (although I typically ladle some mild to medium green or red salsa on it. It's always guaranteed to be really fresh, and there's never a huge line for it. The rest of the breakfast options are solid (if not a tad repetitive every day).

I cant believe people are crabbing about the food. What more can they offer? It all looks amazing. I guess these people go to high end resturants nightly. I live near NYC and get to go to some of the best resturants in the world so it's not like I eat at Golden Corral. Lmao. These buffets look amazing. For anyone complaining, just don't cruise.

We like when your wife gives the food review talks. We've noticed a few buffet videos lately just have music and we miss seeing her give 1 or 2 thumbs up, or no, I don't like that one very much, won't get it again. We appreciate the feedback, but we think she is so small that she must be passing the plates to your son to finish, LOL!

We actually really appreciated the fact that you took your time with each dish. My husband however did finally say “she covers her mouth a lot”. We all have different mannerisms. I thought she did a good job. Don’t be afraid to say “this is not good at all”, or “this is tasteless”.

I had the grilled salmon entree it was by far the best meal I had on the Bliss, although three other specialty meals were very good also.

Thanks again. This was so helpful. We're sailing on the NS in November. We were on the Koningsdam last November but we had a balcony cabin. We were wondering if we should upgrade. But I think we'll be fine. I hope the food was as good as the Koningsdam and that the vegan options are as plentiful.

What do you do with your plate when you’re done eating? I remember someone saying you don’t reuse the same plate when getting seconds, so what do you do with it once you’re done eating or want to go back for seconds?

I've been aboard NCL Sky twice, a sister ship, almost identical to the Sun. Also aboard NCL Pearl, bigger with a slightly larger selection. It's been a couple of years since I've cruised. The ONE THING that NCL cooks well is the Indian food. They had a separate section of the buffet for Indian cuisine and it was simply terrific. The dal and the various chutneys were so flavorful and authentic when you would close your eyes you were transported to New Delhi. I recognize he galley's efforts to produce Italian, Latin, Chinese and other international dishes, with varying degrees of success. Even if you have never tried Indian food, you HAVE TO TRY IT! It will make your palate happy. (Careful--read the label. Some of it is spicy-hot.) Your video is pretty good, without lighting or a great microphone. Did you use the "Photo" mode on your cellphonecamera? It plays with the focus.

I did the joy in April 2024. Cagney made my filet mignon blue and it was perfect. I don’t care for sides as it is filler, but the potatoes au gratin were worth it. By the time I got to dessert, I was stuffed. I had the downside of some white trash guy talking down to the wait staff and managers asking them if they know what Americans like. Other than that, the food was great at Cagney as I went there twice. Oh, do try le bistro

International Cafe looked really good.

I don't know how your wife eats only one or two bites of something she really likes. I wouldn't have that self-control.

I had cruises with HAL in the past and experienced Asian food and notice of Filipino food which is just few choices and not so good although the Filipino crew speaks English and helpful. But Indonesian crew are more accommodating and entertaining. 🤣👏👏

I'd rather dish up my own food because I tend to take very small portions of multiple things. We are sailing HA for the first time in July so we'll see how it goes

I've been on two NCL ships a few years ago (pre-pandemic) and I completely forgot about O'Sheehan's. I had breakfast there one morning and a lunch sometime on NCL Sky. Apparently the cruise line has upped their game, making that place more than a quick-bite kind of place. I absolutely remember having the Artichoke Dip, capturing it on one of my UA-cam videos. The food that I ate there was okay, filling, nutritious. Tasted fine, not exactly worth a Michelin star. Most disappointment? No such thing as a medium-rare burger to be found, unless you were splurging in Cagney's Steakhouse.
